In Seattle, a breeding ground for craft breweries, Hilliard’s was getting its start in the midst of a microbrewery craze. With a shared passion for simplicity and excellence (and beer), Hilliard’s approached Mint to create revolutionary packaging for their unknown product.
The wordmark draws from a classic American beer vernacular with a cool, contemporary sensibility. The crisp herringbone pattern balances clean typography and channels traditional European blackletter with a modern twist.
